Happy New Year or Blissful Ignorance

As many of my friends undoubtedly have noticed, I’m withdrawing into the private universe that is a young family, with all its complications, challenges and wonders. This is for you, my abandoned friends around the world, if you don’t have abandoned me already. Someday, we will meet again!
For now, let me only tell you that there is one thing especially blissful in loosing oneself in baby-smiles and pillow fights and fairy problems… closing one’s eye to the ongoing human stupidity, X-mas wars, energetic abuse, fundamentally flawed expectations of life, car addiction, world-wide economic crisis, pirate popping, etc. etc.
… and that thing is a wholly unjustified optimism for the new year!
